Frontier Query – Widget
Frontier Query Widget can show grouping of Posts & Pages. You can see examples for Frontier Query Widgets in the right sidebar
Below you can see an explanation of the Frontier Query Widget options.
Please note that when you change Filter Object, you will have to save the widget before you continue. Pressing save will update the Filter Value dropdown list (WordPress does not allow for onchange in widgets, so it can be done automatic).
The following widget settings are available:
Title | Title of the Widget, the text will be show in the title bar |
Subtitle | Text will be show underneath the widget titel bar |
Footer | Text will be shown in italic below the widget body content |
Post Types | Checked post types will be included – One post type must be checked. |
Filter Object | You can Filter the posts/pages by different objects in addition to post type and period. Only published post and pages will be included. Based on the filter object the Filter Value dropdown will change accordingly.

Filter Values | Based on the Filter Object selection, Filter values can have the follwong values:

Published | Post/Pages published within the time period selected will be included. |
Group By Object | The Object being grouped by:

Order By | Order the output by:

Sort Order |

Limit | Maximum lines to show |
Show Empty | If No, lines with zero count will not be displayed. If Hierarchical = Yes, Show empty will be “Yes” |
Hierarchical | If set to Yes, output will be shown Hierarchical (tree structure) |
Include Children | Yes: Include Children and selected farther, Only: Include children only (not farther), No: Do not include Children (default) |
Show Featured Image | Only valid if Group By = Post Titles. |
Show Count | Show the post count after the value. |
